MEP Eugen Tomac says he voted for the Republic of Moldova to come to the EU with Romania

MEP Eugen Tomac voted on Sunday, for the legislative elections in the Republic of Moldova, at the section organized at the Embassy in Bucharest.

“In May of this year I voted twice for Romania to stay in the European Union. Today I voted for the second Romanian state, Moldova, to come to the European Union with Romania”, said the MEP on his Facebook page.
He stressed that Sunday's vote has'an unprecedented stake. “
“It is a vote with an unprecedented stake. In 1940, the Romanians over the Prut were transformed overnight in the citizens of the USSR without their will. Today, by democratic vote, under extremely difficult conditions, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova are invited to choose if they want to be part of the free world with the rest of the Romanian nation. The values that define us: freedom, democracy and national dignity “said Eugen Tomac.
The citizens of the Republic of Moldova choose their representatives on Sunday in the legislative future, the election being described as a crucial for the European course of the neighboring country.
In Romania, 23 polling stations are opened, where about 30,000 citizens are expected.
The elections are held in the context of hybrid attacks that have been highlighted by both Chisinau officials, as well as by Romania and the other European partners of the Republic of Moldova.
