Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on holidays and days off in 2026. Previously, the schedule was developed in the Ministry of Labor.
Since in the new year on January 3 and 4 they fall on Saturday and Sunday, they were moved to Friday, January 9, and Thursday, December 31, respectively.
New Year holidays will last 12 days – From December 31, 2025 to January 11, 2026.
Besides, 5 times next year there will be a weekend for 3 days:
- In February – from 21 to 23rd;
- in March – from 7 to 9;
- twice in May – from 1 to 3 and from 9 to 11;
- And on the day of Russia in June – from 12 to 14.
In the fall Russians are waiting for one holiday weekend – November 4.
And on The New Year holidays of 2027, the inhabitants of the country will leave on December 31.
Recall that the resolution on the transfer of weekends that fall to the holidays is adopted by the government annually and is carried out in such a way as to optimally distribute the time of labor and rest.
