It is better to cook porridge in a stainless steel pan.
Usually this side dish is served with oil. You can add gravy or sauces to it. For a lean option, porridge is seasoned with a small amount of vegetable oil.
Ingredients:
- 180 g of wheat cereal;
- 500 ml of water;
- ½ tsp. salts;
- 50 g of oil.
Cooking
- Put 180 g of cereals in a sieve and rinse it thoroughly under running water. Add cereal to the pan, pour it 500 ml of cold clean water.
- Bring the water to a boil, add ½ tsp. Salt and cook porridge over low heat for 20 minutes under a closed lid, mixing periodically.
- Before serving, add 50 g of oil, mix and serve a warm porridge.
