In Krasnoyarsk, a man was convinced to transfer “to a safe account” about 2 million rubles.
The police said that a 38-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk came a message in Telegram, allegedly from the head of the enterprise, where he worked 8 years ago. The woman sent a document with a notification of verification from the FSB. Allegedly, it was carried out on the basis of the leakage of personal data of employees – both former and current. Also, a man was warned that an FSB officer would contact him in the near future to clarify the circumstances.
A few hours later, a man who introduced himself as an employee of the FSB really contacted him. He said that the attackers were sold by the personal data of men. Employees of the banking sector may also be involved in the scam. They began to scare the man by the fact that from his account they transferred money to the account of a person recognized as an extremist, they can also suspect a man in a Stateismman.
“I have always considered myself a person who can distinguish lies from the truth and not buy to the persuasion of scammers. But it so happened that they manipulated me, and during the day I could not realize what was happening to me, ”the man explained.

The scammers managed to convince him that to strengthen protection, he must transfer money to a “safe” account through the application. This will avoid accusation of financing extremist movements. Fraudsters convinced the victim that the money would return to his account at once, how security would be strengthened.
Being under the influence of the attackers, the man fulfilled all the conditions and transferred 1 million 800 thousand rubles to the specified account. When he tried to return his funds, they stopped in touch with him.
After that, Krasnoyarsk filed a statement to the police. A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of fraud on an especially large scale. The investigation is conducted.
