Four people were arrested on Tuesday after designing pictures of Donald Trump with sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein on Windsor Castle, where the US president is to be hosted by King Charles during his state visit to the UK, Reuters reports.

Trump arrived on Tuesday evening for a second state visit to the UK and will be welcomed by Charles for a lavish day at Windsor Castle, about 40 kilometers west of London.

On Tuesday morning, the protesters held a huge banner with a photo of Trump and Epstein near the Windsor Castle, and later designed more pictures with the two on one of the castle towers.

The police announced in a statement that four adults were arrested under the suspicion of malicious communication following an “unauthorized projection” at Windsor Castle, which they described as a “public stunt”. The four remain in arrest.

Democrats in the House of Representatives of the United States made public a letter from the birthday that Trump would have written to Epstein more than 20 years ago, although the White House denied its authenticity.

The letter was also designed on the castle, along with photos of Epstein's victims, news and police reports.

The publishing of the letter brought to the attention a political issue for the president. Although he urged his supporters to overcome this topic, the interest in details about Epstein's offenses and who else could have known about them or could have been involved with him remained high.

Trump was friends with Epstein before becoming president, but he quarreled with his former financier years before his death in prison in 2019.

The birthday letter contained the text of a supposed dialogue between Trump and Epstein, in which Trump calls him “friend” and says: “May every day be another wonderful secret.” The text is inside a sketch of a naked woman.
