At the beginning of this summer, a 16 -year -old suicide for the fear of national assessment. According to public information, the teenager was an orphan of mother, and the father worked abroad. So it is very possible that the school was not the first and only source of anxiety, but it seems to have been the cherry on the cake. As the time flies and my children approach with quick steps to adolescence exams, I think more and more about the wisest attitude I approach as a mother regarding qualifications, notes, competitions, prizes, exams, future choices.
I am aware that it will be very difficult for me to break away from my own school experience. I was a student who learned enormously and strongly believed that who has the book has a part. Coming from a modest family, I had no other options to fly from the nest, and in my time it was not very investing in extracurricular activities, such as sport or arts. So I studied and read a lot, I participated in dozens of Olympics and until the end of the faculty I always ticked heads of promotion. After reaching an academic goal, the thanks kept me for a maximum of 2 days, then I fixed a new goal.
To be an international Olympic or promotion boss opens some doors but does not solve the great problems of life
This probably kept me away from bad surroundings and insane choices, but my childhood and adolescence did not really enjoy. Looking back, I regret, for example, that I did not spend more holidays at my grandmother in Maramureș, that I did not read more outside the mandatory readings at school, that I did not invested in a hobby. I didn't live today, I was always waiting to pass the time and reach the next stage of life. Let the high school come quickly, then the faculty and become a responsible adult.
