Professional tennis player, forbidden for life from sport

The International Tennis Integrity Agency forbade a 31 -year -old Thai professional player, Jatuporn Na Lamphun, ever practicing white sport, after proven to have manipulated or tried to influence 22 matches between 2023 and 2024.
According to the investigation, in most cases, he offered or gave money to other people to trick matches. The ITIA press release stressed that Na Lamphun did not only violate the rules of the anti -corruption program (TACP), but did not cooperate with investigators.

Moreover, he did not respond to the accusations, did not provide data and did not even exercise his right of appeal during the independent hearing. This attitude finally led to At a life prohibition and a fine of 84,000 pounds, equivalent of 96,986 euros.
According to the decision, Na Lamphun will no longer be able to participate in events organized by the big tennis organizations, including ATP, WTA, ITF, Tennis Australia, the French Tennis Federation, Wimbledon and the American Tennis Federation, as well as any associated national federations, neither as a player nor as a spectator.
Thai is a recidivist
This is not the first case in which the Thai player was in the spotlight because of corruption. Since 2016 he has received a ban of 18 months, after violating three times the rules of integrity of the sport. Then, it was fined with 4,272 euros, and an additional accusation – more precisely, the refusal to cooperate with the unit of tennis integrity – contributed to the tightening of the punishment.
Thus, Na Lamphun became definitive the central figure of one of the most serious tennis scandals, and its case is a new alarm for sports in the fight against fraud.
