Prime Minister Donald Tusk informed on Monday evening that the State Protection Service neutralized the drone operating over government buildings (park) and Belweder. As he said, two Belarusian citizens were detained. The police investigate the circumstances of the incident – he added.

SOP and the Ministry of Interior and Administration operate and guard the most important facilities in the state. This shows that Poland is safe – said Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Wiesław Szczepański in Polsat News, referring to a drone neutralized on Monday over government buildings.
More details about the event were given during a conversation on TVN24 spokesman SOP Col. Bogusław Piórkowski. His report shows that the drone was noticed after 19.00, and “the action lasted less than a few minutes”. As a result, two people were handed over to the police.
– These Citizens of Belarus were identified, tracked and captured by our officers – said Col. Bogusław Piórkowski.
In an interview with PAP, the SOP spokesman said that the drone was taken over by officers. Colonel Piórkowski also pointed out that no shots were fired during the event – the drone returned in emergency mode to operators who were captured by officers.
Last week, on the night of September 9-10, the Polish airspace was repeatedly violated by Russian drones. Those that pose a direct threat were shot down by Polish and allied aviation. For the first time in the modern history of Poland in the airspace of the country, the air force used weapons.
After the last incident, incl. The Czech Republic and the Netherlands declared to send more military equipment to Poland, including In Norway and Great Britain, Ambassadors of the Russian Federation were called to local ministries.
