Eight Krasnoyarski became honorary veterans of the city

In Krasnoyarsk, at a session of the City Council, the first citizens were approved, awarded the new title “Honorary Veteran of the City”.
Among them are eight honored veterans of labor, military operations, military service, which make a significant contribution to the development of the city: Dmitry Alekseevich Basuev, Lyudmila Petrovna Bolshakova, Margarita Konstantinovna Tibekina, Natalya Petrovna Lyalyushkina, Galina Timofeevna Potemkina, Lyudmila Stefanovna Stefanovna, Valentina Ivanovna Yurkova and Lyudmila Efimovna Pisarenko.
The city council of veterans made the initiative to assign a new award. This year, the local public organization of veterans (pensioners) of war, labor, the armed forces and law enforcement agencies celebrated its 40th anniversary. The nomination of candidates is initiated by public veteran organizations of the city districts. According to the results of the session, the deputies supported the decision to assign the rank unanimously.
“Today, veterans are active participants in all socio-economic processes in the life of the city. In close communication with them, we understand the importance and significance of their opinion, discuss both issues of improvement and the development of regulatory acts, they are selflessly included in the solution of so many issues. Special attention in their activities deserves concern for the inhabitants of the older generation, the patriotic education of youth. This award is gratitude to the veterans for their daily and painstaking work, ”said Olga Kachanova, head of the social protection department of the city administration.
Stories from the life of “Honorary Veterans” are examples of real leadership, hard work and selflessness. Deputy Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk City Local Public Organization of Veterans (Pensioners) of War, Labor, Armed Forces and Law enforcement agencies Lyudmila Chumichev, for example, began his career back in 1970 at the party committee of the Siberian heavy engineering plant. After she worked in the Kirov and Central District Committees, was elected as a deputy of the Krasnoyarsk City Council, and also headed the department of inventory and addressing of the Department of Municipal Property and Land Relations of the Krasnoyarsk administration.
The total work experience of Lyudmila Stefanovna is 53 years. The woman has long retired, but for the good of the city did not stop working:
“As soon as she retired, the Council of Veterans and engaged in social activities immediately received an offer. Veterans have chosen, trusted and now I have been at the helm for 11 years. In general, I like to work with people, it gives me great pleasure. And, I think so that I cope with my work. I would like to continue my activities. I will do this as much as I have enough strength, ”said Lyudmila Chumicheva.
Dmitry Alekseevich Basuev worked for 56 years in party bodies, in particular in the apparatus of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and Pension and Social Insurance Funds. The chairman of the Krasnoyarsk City Council Natalia Firyulina personally recommended that Dmitry Alekseevich be awarded the honorary title. She noted that the whole labor activity of the veteran was with people and public organizations. He had a hand in the fact that Krasnoyarsk received the honorary title “City of Labor Valor”.
“We are grateful to the older generation of residents because Krasnoyarsk bears the title“ City of Labor Valor ”, primarily thanks to veterans. We hope that the award will feature them to be even more active, healthy and as far as they can continue to help the city and people. At the request of veterans on International Elderly Day, we will give them breast signs and certificates, ”said Natalia Firyulina, chairman of the Krasnoyarsk City Council of Deputies.
We add that on October 1, Lyudmila Stefanovna, Dmitry Alekseevich and other honorary veterans of the city of Krasnoyarsk will be presented with badges and certificates, and their names will be made to the city “Book of Honor” of the Council of Veterans. This will serve as a beginning for a good tradition – henceforth such awards with active Krasnoyarsk residents who gave years for the good of the city will be handed annually on International Elderly Day.
