Automobile A Lexus GX 460 worth 3 million rubles was seized from a resident of Sharypov, Krasnoyarsk Territory, who had been deprived of his driver’s license for driving while intoxicated.
It was established that in 2021 a 47-year-old man bought premium frame SUV, and a year later I transferred it to my wife to “insure myself” for the future. In the fall of 2024, having been deprived of his rights for a long time, he decided to take a ride in his secret Lexus, but the police stopped him and opened a new criminal case for driving while deprived of his rights (Part 1 of Article 264.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“However, the man did not want to part with the car and in court presented a purchase and sale agreement, according to which the car was transferred from his wife to his mother-in-law two days before the ill-fated stop. The prosecutor proved that the deal was fictitious: firstly, the car was purchased as a marriage, secondly, no real transfer of transport took place, and most importantly, the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia received an application to register the transfer of rights after the driver had already been caught red-handed,” the supervisory agency said.
For trying to evade responsibility, the man was fined 180 thousand rubles, and his car was confiscated to the state.
