The Ukrainian was found guilty under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code (state treason) and Art. 276 of the Criminal Code (espionage).
The release says that it, “being a citizen of Ukraine, and subsequently in the status of a citizen of the Russian Federation,” allegedly shot objects on the camera of her mobile phone, which are used by the RF Armed Forces and other Russian departments, and transferred them to Ukraine. The invaders argue that the information for the defense forces could be used to strike at the positions of the army of the Russian Federation and the “authorities”.
The defendant fully pleaded guilty, the press service noted. The occupation “court” sentenced her to nine years of imprisonment with serving a sentence in a penal colony of general regime.
The Telegram channel “Support for Political Zapov. Memorial” said that we are talking about Ukrainian Yulia Sokolova. According to him, a resident of the Kherson region was allegedly sent to a pre -trial detention center in the Crimean village of Jonggar in December. According to the channel, Ukrainian received Russian citizenship, but, according to the prosecution, through instant messengers and email transferred data to Ukraine about the troops and facilities of the Russian Federation.
Kommersant wrote that Sokolova informed the Ukrainian side from January to July 2023. In the same year, according to the Russian edition, she transferred funds to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
