Donald Trump referred to the war in Ukraine during a conversation with journalists before departure to Great Britain. When asked about how after a month he assesses the results of his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska, the US president said that thanks to this summit managed to “achieve a lot, but you need two to tango.”

His statement contradicts what the US representative Dorothy Shea admitted during the recent meeting of the UN Security Council. The diplomat noticed that from the summit in Alaska, Russia only intensified the bombing of Ukraine, and the violation of Polish airspace further indicates the “huge disrespect” of the Kremlin against the US's peaceful efforts.
The American president also announced on Tuesday that if he met with Zelanski on the margins of the debate of leaders during the UN General Assembly session in New York, he would tell him to make a system with Russia.
– Zełnski must conclude a system. And Europe must stop buying oil from Russia. They say a lot. But they have to stop buying oil from Russia – he said. He added later that this must happen immediately. He also announced that continuing these purchases is unfair to the United States.
Hungary and Slovakia are the greatest buyers of Russian oil in Europe, whose authorities have lodged a complaint to Trump after Ukraine attacked the oil pipeline, providing them with raw material. Trump then wrote back to the Prime Minister of Hungary by Viktor Orban that he was “very bad” because of it, adding that he “said about Slovakia about it.”
Answering the question of the Ukrainian journalist about his July announcement, regarding the delivery of 17 Patriot systems, Trump only said that he “loves Ukraine”. He admitted that Ukraine is in “serious trouble”.
