The White House reveals what Donald Trump will say in his speech. The deadline for ending the war has been reached

A White House representative told CBS News that Trump will say that the military is meeting or exceeding all operational objectives, including the destruction of ballistic missiles and their production facilities, the annihilation of the Iranian navy, deterring Iran from destabilizing the region through its allied forces and preventing the Iranians from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The extent to which these assumptions have been realized will likely be a matter of debate, the Hill website stressed, noting that Iran still possesses highly enriched uranium.

A White House representative said that Trump would also criticize NATO. Earlier, the president himself announced in an interview for Reuters that during his evening address to the nation he would say that he was considering withdrawing the United States from the Alliance.

The first message since the beginning of the war with Iran

As noted by the American media, this will be the president's first speech of this type since the beginning of the war with Iran, on February 28. The speech is scheduled for 9 p.m. local time (3 a.m. on Thursday in Poland).

A Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that two-thirds of Americans believe the United States should strive to quickly end the war with Iran, even if it means failing to meet the goals set by the president's administration.
