According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Romanian side transmitted the “firm protest against this unacceptable and irresponsible act, which represents a violation of the sovereignty of Romania”.
“Such recurrent situations determine the escalation and amplification of threats to the regional security situation,” says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which specifies that it has requested the Russian party “to take all the measures that are required to avoid in the future the violation of the airspace of Romania.”
“Romania is in permanent contact with its allies and other EU members,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states.
