Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the elimination of Hamas leaders living in Qatar would remove the main obstacle in the release of hostages and to stop the war in Gaza, informs Reuters.

Israel targeted the Hamas leadership from Doha through Qatar aerial blows, a country that served as a host for some of the peace negotiations.

Hamas announced that five of his members, including the son of the leader of Gaza Khalil al-Hayya, were killed in the attack, but the leaders at the top and the negotiation team survived. Qatar said that a member of his internal security forces was also killed.

“Hamas terrorist bosses in Qatar do not care about the people in Gaza. They blocked all the attempts to cease fire to extend the war endlessly,” Netanyahu wrote in an X post.

Hamas described the Doha attack as an attempt by Israel to end the negotiations for a armistice and announced that the group does not change its conditions for cessation of the war in Gaza.

Israel asked Hamas to free all the hostages held in the gaza and disarmed. Hamas said he would not release the hostages without an agreement to put an end to the war and that he will give up weapons until the Palestinians have an independent state.
