Around the Easter holidays, an airline urges travelers to pay attention to the general well -being and health before embarking on a flight, drawing up a list of priorities.

With almost 4,000 flights that will take place on Easter weekend, Wizz Air launches a new “medical awareness” campaign to ensure that passengers are capable of flying and enjoying a worry -free trip and in the best health.

In recent years, medical emergencies during flights have become more evident in the entire aviation industry. This initiative highlights essential tips for travelers during the period prior to the flight and during it – especially for those with existing health problems, pregnant women and passengers who recover after medical procedures.

As we recently announced, as part of our Customer First Compass program, we keep the commitment that all passengers will reach the destination safely and comfortably. By increasing the rank of awareness now, before the peak period around Easter, we can help prevent incidents during flights that can be avoided and we can ensure that everyone is ready and will reach the destination in a timely manner, to enjoy the holiday with the dear ones.I ”, explains Geanina Hirjanu, accompanying flight and ambassador Wizz Air.

Best tips to make sure you are apt for flight

• Identify the times when you may need a certificate attesting that you are fit for flight-if you have recently been through surgery or are pregnant in more than 28 weeks, you may need such a certificate from the doctor to fly-check before the trip.

• Wrap intelligently-keep the essential medicines and travel documents at hand, holding them in the hand luggage you take aboard the aircraft.

• Dress with comfortable clothes-wear light clothes, made of breathing materials and consider compression socks to reduce the risk of traffic problems, especially on long flights.

• Hydrate and move-drink water regularly and move along the cab when it is possible to help prevent a condition like deep venous thrombosis (TVP).

• Respect the drug administration program – if necessary, use the alarm on the phone to avoid omitting a dose of medicine, especially when crossing different times.

• Wear a face mask if you do not feel good – if you are sneezing or cooled, protect the other passengers wearing a face mask.

• Rest well on the flight-Use an eye mask for sleeping, a throat pillow or headphones to eliminate the background noise to help you relax and recharge with energy on board.

Passengers are also reminded that Wizz Air's trained cabin crew will provide assistance in the event of a medical emergency. However, travelers are responsible for the subsequent care that they may also need transport, if a flight must be diverted for health reasons, which makes travel insurance a necessity.
