70th birthday of Leon XIV. The faithful sang “Happy Birthday”
Some of the faithful had birthday balloons, others – banners. After the pope's words about his birthday, the faithful sang him “Happy Birthday”. The network was circulated by recordings showing the whole situation.
Earlier, Leon XIV said that on Monday is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Synod of Bishops, which was – as he added – “a prophetic intuition of Saint Paul VI”.
The Pope explained that the purpose of this initiative was that the bishops could even more and better express unity with the successor of Saint Peter. He expressed the desire for this anniversary to encourage the renovated commitment to the unity and mission of the Church.
