Hesburger is already present in important cities in Romania, including Bucharest, with locations in shopping centers such as AFI Cotroceni and Mega Mall, but also in municipalities such as Râmnicu Vâlcea, Brăila and Iași. One of the notable aspects of the expansion on the Romanian market is the opening of the first Drive-in Hesburger in Romania, in Curtea de Argeș.
With an international network of over 480 locations and a history dating from the 1960s, Hesburger is a leader in the Fast Food market and a significant presence in the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), but also in other European markets, Poland and Germany. In the country of origin, Hesburger has managed to devote McDonald's as a number of locations and sales.
With a history of over half a century, Hesburger is the leader of the Nordic fast food
Hesburger is noted by the fact that he is a family business, with roots in 1966, when he started as a small hot-dogs stand, and in 1980 he was formalized as a brand. He also managed to overcome McDonald's in Finland in terms of number of locations and sales
In addition, the brand has experienced innovative technologies, such as delivery robots and control systems in some locations in Finland and Estonia.
Hesburger also emphasizes sustainability, promoting the use of biodegradable packaging and implementing practices to reduce energy consumption in its restaurants.
The Alternative Fast Food Classic has a bigger mega Burger menu than the Big Mac
The Hesburger menu includes both classic fast food products, such as burgers, fries, salads and milkshakes, as well as their own sauces, which have become an important part of the brand identity.
Notable products include Mega Burger, a variant with two rolls, three layers of meat and three types of sauce, which exceeds the size of a Big Mac.
The communication strategy for Romania and Bulgaria is managed by the Oxygen Agency, which collaborates with the brand to promote it on social networks and media.
Perspectives on the Romanian market
Despite a competitive climate on the local market, Hesburger presents himself as an attractive alternative for Romanian consumers interested in fast food.
With a different approach to other international chains, the Finnish brand aims to win its place on the Romanian market by diversifying the menu, technological innovation and a sustainable vision.
