The Sejm adopted the Act on a heating voucher and amending some other acts. Thanks to her, electricity bills will not increase by the end of 2025, because the Act freezes energy prices. 430 MPs voted, 410 MPs voted for – the Act was also supported by PiS. 10 MPs abstained and one was against.

First of all, the act introduces a heating voucher. Will be awarded on the basis of income criteria. Households will receive it, which:
– in the case of sole proprietors: they reach an income equal to or lower than PLN 3,272.69 (40 % of the average salary);
– in the case of multiplayer: they achieve an income equal to or lower than PLN 2454.52 (30 % of the average salary) per person.
The full height of the voucher will depend on the heat price. The more expensive, the greater the support than you. In the second half of 2025, the support will be from PLN 500 to PLN 1750, depending on the rate for the gigajul. The amount of the voucher will be:
- PLN 500 – when the heat price is higher than PLN 170/GJ and not higher than PLN 200/GJ (without VAT);
- PLN 1000 – when the heat price is higher than PLN 200/GJ and not higher than PLN 230/GJ (without VAT);
- PLN 1750 – when the heat price is higher than PLN 230/GJ (without VAT).
In turn, the amount of support is expected to increase next year. It will be:
- PLN 1000 – when the heat price is higher than PLN 170/GJ and not higher than PLN 200/GJ (without VAT);
- PLN 2,000 – when the heat price is higher than PLN 200/GJ and not higher than PLN 230/GJ (without VAT);
- PLN 3,500 – when the heat price is higher than PLN 230/GJ (without VAT).
However, as PiS MP Krzysztof Kużmiuk warned, only about 400,000 will benefit from the voucher. Economy.
Now the law will go to the Senate. Then the president must sign it.
