“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes the evacuation of Polish Citizens from the Middle East. Both military flights and civil aviation are prepared, as long as the conditions allow it. Return to the country is free ” – wrote on the platform X Grabiec.
Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who assured “”Poland is constantly helping citizens who want to leave the Middle East“.
“Final preparations for a safe, organized evacuation campaign are underway. Return to the country is free. Military aviation is fully prepared for help from the first hours of crisis”-emphasized at X Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Earlier on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Paweł Wroński told PAP that some Poles who stay in Israel signal the desire to leave this country and obtain support in it. He noted that it is still possible to leave Israel by land or sea, and the ministry will react according to the circumstances. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the case affects over 200 people registered in the Odysseus system, which are in Israel and is associated with the current situation in the Middle East.
On Sunday, Radio ZET reported that an organized trip of Poles from Israel and the Middle East is planned for Monday or Tuesday and will be carried out by border crossings in Jordan and then Amman or Egypt and Tabie – first by land and then by plane. According to the station, the Honorary Consul in Bethlehem is involved in the action.
“The consulate informs everyone who intends to leave Israel, about the need for additional accommodation in anticipation of an air connection. In SMS, the facility states that travel costs are borne individually,” Radio ZET informed.
Referring to this case, the Foreign Ministry spokesman admitted that “the initiative of the Honorary Consul is known to us”.
“We know that the consul is working on his own initiative on such a solution. As I understand, this is a paid initiative,” said Wroński, pointing out that this is not a ministry of diplomacy or organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

When asked if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on its solution in this matter, or somehow support the initiative of the Honorary Consul in Bethlehem, Wroński emphasized that “there are currently expensive wheeled roads from Israel, it is also possible to leave this country by maritime transport.”
“On Monday, there will be a meeting at the coordination center, followed by a briefing, where we sum up the whole matter. We react according to the circumstances,” added Wroński.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminded on Sunday evening that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not conduct the “commercial evacuation” campaign from Israel.
