The president will not put a veto? Bogucki: If the solutions are secured by Poles

The head of the KPRP Zbigniew Bogucki assured that President Karol Nawrocki would not veto the government act extending the freezing of energy prices if its solutions “secure the wallets of Poles.” He also informed that the president had so far signed 31 out of 38 laws, which went to his desk.

At Tuesday's meeting, the government will deal with, among others project extending the freezing of energy prices and introducing a heating voucher. This is a reaction to the veto of the Nawrocki amendment to the so -called windmill law, which – in addition to freezing electricity prices – liberalized the principles of investing in windmills on land.

Bogucki, asked on Monday at RMF FM, whether Nawrocki would veto the government act again, emphasized that the president would block the provisions that are – in his opinion – harmful to Poles. – There will be no veto, if these are solutions that will protect Poles' wallets – said Bogucki.

At the end of August, the Presidential Legislative Initiative was also sent to the Sejm regarding the freezing of electricity prices. As Nawrocki said at the time, the project was “literally removed” from the vetoed windmill act.

Bogucki, asked if Nawrocki, would be willing to sign the law if the parliament decides to work on a government project, and not on the presidential initiative, assessed that “the president does not behave like the government.” – If it is a law that will protect the interests of Poles, i.e. it will be identical to the project that the government has previously submitted and which the president submitted, or will be very similar, then the president will not block such laws – assured the head of the KPRP.

Bogucki emphasized that Nawrocki signed 31 acts of 38, which until now came to his desk, including laws that criticized various political environments, including PIS. “So an attempt to create such an atmosphere that the president will be offended at someone or will do something angry, I don't know to Donald Tusk, he is a fatal description of reality,” he said.

A project with a heating voucher prepared by the Energy Ministry and about changing some other acts assumes the extension of the maximum price for electricity at the level of PLN 500/MWh for households by the end of this year. The project also introduces a heating voucher, which will be awarded on the basis of income criteria. It will be received by households that: reach an income equal to or lower than PLN 3,272.69 (40 % of the average salary) in the case of one -man households; They reach an income equal to or lower than PLN 2454.52 (30 % of the average salary) per person in the case of multiplayer. In addition, these farms will have to use the system heat (network) supplied by Przedsiębiorstwo Energetyczne and pay for heat above PLN 170/GJ.

The amount of the heating voucher will depend on the difference between the single -component heat price in Poland, of PLN 170/GJ. The voucher will be awarded twice: for the period from July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 and for the period from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026.

In accordance with applicable regulations, the mechanism of freezing energy prices for households will be valid until September 30, 2025 (PAP)
