The investigation revealed the truth about UFOs in the USA. The army had a goal

According to “WSJ”, Since the Cold War, the American army has used a disinformation strategy to protect its most advanced projects. One example is the deliberate dissemination of manipulated photos of “flying sauces” near the famous zone 51. In the 1980s, the Air Force Colonel was to personally ensure that local residents believe in the presence of aliens, instead of discovering real work on Stealth fighters.
“WSJ” emphasizes that Pentagon cultivated myths about UFOs for decadeseven among your own officers. During preliminary briefings, new commanders were shown fake photos and informed about the “Yankee Blue” program, allegedly dealing with reverse engineering of foreign technology. Many of them believed in the authenticity of this information and signed confidentiality contracts that prevented them from talking about it, even with their loved ones.
A growing number of applications and a congress investigation
In recent years, the number of UFO reports has increased rapidly. Between 2004 and 2021 there were 144 such cases, but from May 2023 their number increased to 757 in just 12 months. Most of them were explained as balloons, drones, birds or reflections of Starlink satellites, but some incidents remain mysterious.

In response to the growing interest in the subject, the Congress appointed a special office in 2022, which deals with the analysis of both current UFO observations and historical cases reaching 1945. The investigation of Sean Kirkpatrick, the former scientist at Missile and Space Intelligence Center, received unprecedented access to secret military programs.
“Wall Street Journal” also reminds of events from the 1960s and 70s, when military staff reported strange lights to exclude nuclear weapons. The investigation revealed that they were Secret tests of electromagnetic pulse generators to assess the susceptibility of the American nuclear arsenal on attacks. The disclosure of these tests could reveal the weaknesses of the American defense system to the Soviet Union.
Pentagon report and unanswered questions
The Pentagon report from 2024 did not find evidence to hide foreign technology, but “WSJ” notes that the document avoided the subject of disinformation as a tool for the protection of military secrets. The daily emphasizes that the bureaucratic structure of the Pentagon, with secret programs embedded in other secret programs, has created ideal conditions for the development of myths about UFOs.

Congress is still demanding explanations. Republican members of the UFO team want to determine whether disinformation campaigns were a local initiative or whether they were implemented at central level. The Pentagon promised to publish another report, which is to shed more light on these activities.
