Orlen is testing maintenance free. The first in Poland at the beginning of 2026.

At the beginning of next year, Orlen intends to launch the first maintenance -free institution in Poland – inform “Trade Wiadomości”. A similar solution is already tested by a Polish concern in Germany.

As in an interview with the website of Wiadomościoscihandlowe.pl, Marek Balawajder, a member of the Management Board for Retail Sales in Orlen, is at the final stage of preparation for the launch of the first autonomous store in Poland. According to unofficial information, it will operate under the Stop Cafe brand.

Ultimately, the solution is to be used in more points at night and places where traffic is smaller.

The Polish concern is already testing a similar solution in Germany, where it also operates under the Star brand. So -called Smart Container operates in Berlin on a principle similar to existing nano frogs in Poland. Namely, he uses the technology of a payment card pre -authorization.

The entry into the store is therefore after scanning the payment card and blocking a certain amount. Then the camera system records what products customers download from the shelves and automatically charges the receivable. After verification of age, you can also buy products for adults. Then the receipt is sent to the email address.

As “commercial news” remind, two years ago, Orlen has already tested a solution in Warsaw enabling self -service shopping. However, it was not a fully autonomous store, but a kiosk where products can be ordered using touch screens.

Although Orlen, unlike, for example, to the Moya network, it has no fully maintenance -free gas stations, it has been bypassing queues and trips from the distributor to cash. The condition is, however, having the Orlen Pay application.
