Russia plans to export basic communication stations to Indonesia, Africa and the UAE

The Russian manufacturer of basic communication stations is preparing to enter international markets. This was in an interview with RBC by the general director of MTS Inessa Galaktionova.

Equipment of a domestic company “Irtea” (50 % belongs to MTS) It has already appeared in Belarus and will soon be in Kazakhstan.

“The task of Irtei is not to be competitive because there are no other manufacturers now, but in general. Therefore, we also stimulate that colleagues enter foreign markets. Now they went to Belarus, then to Kazakhstan. There are a number of countries that will be happy to work with Russian companies. This is not only the CIS, for example, Indonesia, Africa, Arab Emirates, ”she shared Inessa Galaktionov.

Recall that the first Russian base stations of the LTE standard production “Irtea” in March this year earned in the Krasnoyarsk Territory – They were installed in Divnogorsk, Nazarov, as well as in the settlements of the Boguchansky, Emelyanovsky and Taseevsky districts. Until the end of 2025, it is planned to launch a thousand such stations in 37 regions of the country.

Galaktionova emphasized that the creation of equipment that can compete with world analogues is a key task.

“We need to build a technological sovereignty. It so happened that we did not choose this path, but since it happened, we need to squeeze out from this situation to the maximum, ”she added.

In addition to telecom equipment, MTS considers the export of corporate solutions, such as Exolve and Link. According to the head of the company, these products surpass Zoom and Skype in a number of functions and can be in demand abroad.
