Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa strengthens its position on the international market. Belonging to PGZ Mesko has signed a contract for the supply of portable anti -aircraft missile sets for the Swedish armed forces.

According to Mesko's message, interest in lightning systems was reported by the Swedish side in March 2025, and in June a preliminary order was placed. The delivery is planned for 2027.
“Lightning is an example of a product that combines innovation, reliability and experience gained from a real battlefield,” said President Mesko Renata Gruszczyńska, cited in the announcement. She emphasized that the contract is the result of the work of engineering teams and government support for the defense industry.

The lightning sets are to strengthen the Swedish air defense of a very short range. Stockholm's decision to buy Polish equipment is part of the process of modernizing the local armed forces.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz did not hide his satisfaction with the signing of the contract. “A week ago I saw the Minister of Defense of Sweden at the International Defense Industry Salon in Kielce (…) Our lightning, i.e. Poland becomes an exporter of weapons ” – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense. He emphasized that “the Polish economy engine (…) will be in a moment the Polish arms industry”.

Donald Tusk also referred to the transaction, writing on platform X: “Plant Mesko sold Sweden today for over PLN 1 billion” lightning “rocket sets, one of the flagship products of the Polish arms industry. Pride” – the prime minister wrote on Platform X.
