Widzew Łódź strengthens the offensive. Andi Zeqiri joins the team

Recently, Pape Meïssa Ba, brought from Schalke, joined the team led by coach Patryk Czubak. It seemed that summer reinforcements would end there, but Widzewa activists surprised the fans again. The club decided on another loud move, reaching for the attacker with international experience.
In recent days there have been reports of negotiations regarding the bringing of Andi Zeqiri from KRC Genk. Former Brighton footballer has been looking for a new challenge for some time. Among those interested in his services were also mentioned teams from the Champions League, FC Copenhagen and Paphos, but none of these teams convinced the player to transfer.
Backstage of record transfer
Ultimately, Widzew Łódź, as reported by the transfer.info website, proved to be the most determined. The club owner, Robert Dobrzycki, decided to send a special plane to the Switzerland representative, which brought him to Łódź. According to information provided by Piotr Koźmiński, Zeqiri is already in Poland and will soon undergo medical tests. If they end successfully, the attacker will officially join the ranks of the Łódź club.
Widzew has already reached an agreement with KRC Genk regarding transfer conditions. The Belgian club will receive over two million euros for its player, and additional bonuses can be added to this amount. Zeqiri will thus become the most expensive footballer in the history of Widzewa.
The previous record belonged to Mariusz Fornalczyk, for which one and a half million euros was paid.
Zeqiri's statistics and experience
Last season, Andi Zeqiri was on loan in the Liège standard. He played 26 matches in the colors of the Belgian team, in which he scored 10 goals and noted four assists.
The Swiss attacker has performed in several European leagues, which makes him one of the most experienced players who have recently been sent to the Premier League.
