Spain calls for breaking relations with Israel. Tel Aviv corresponds to accusations of anti -Semitism

Deputy prime minister and leader of the leftist block Sumar – Yolanda Diaz, whose Israeli government forbade the entry to Madrid's introduction of restrictions in relations with Tel Aviv – she called on Monday to break relations with the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

After the prime minister Pedro Sanchez was announced on Monday, the authorities in Tel Aviv accused the Government of Madrid of “anti -Semitism” and forbade the entry of Spanish politicians, including Diaz. In turn, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for consultations of the Israeli ambassador in Madrid.

As the Spanish media noted, Sanchez in his speech first described Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip as “genocide”.

– Today we are taking a very important step thanks to the embargo, except for one issue: you have to break relations with the Netanyahu regime – said Sumar leader in an interview with La Sexta television.

On the same day, Sanchez condemned the X assassination in Eastern Jerusalem, in which six people were killed, including a Spanish citizen.

“At the same time, when the Spanish Prime Minister attacked Israel, Palestinian terrorists attacked and murdered six Israelis,” wrote the head of Israeli diplomacy Gideon Saar.

The minister also reacted to the information that Hamas praised Spanish's Monday decision about the embargo for weapons for Israel.

“This already says everything. (…) The times of inquisition, persecution and expulsions have already passed. Israel is a strong and sovereign state,” Saar added, referring to history, including the expelling of Jews from Spain in 1492.

The war in the Gaza Strip has been going on from October 7, 2023, when Hamas, the rulers of this territory, attacked the south of Israel, killing about 1,200 people. As a result of Israeli retaliation, over 64.4 thousand were killed. Palestinians.
