At least four people were killed and another 11 were injured, in an armed attack at an intersection in the Ramot neighborhood, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, Monday morning. The police called the attackers as “terrorists” and announced that it is “neutralized”, reports Reuters.
It is not clear who committed the armed attack or what was the reason. The Israeli police described the shooters as “terrorists”, without specifying how many were involved in the incident.
According to Sky News, two attackers got on a bus and opened the fire as it reached an important intersection at the northern entrance of Jerusalem, on a road leading to Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem.
The Ambulance Service previously stated that 15 people were injured and at least five were in serious condition, with wounds by shooting.
The paramedics who intervened on the spot declared that the area was chaotic and covered by glass pieces, with injured and unconscious people lying on the road and on a sidewalk near the bus station.
Testimony from the bus: “Undeader firearms”
A woman on the bus told the time when the “terrorists” opened fire on the bus, Times of Israel.
“I was on the bus. The bus was full,” the woman told Channel 12.
“When (the driver) opened the door … the terrorists entered. It was awful. I was next to the back door, I passed everyone and I fled, I saved,” the woman said.
She also said she was hiding under another nearby vehicle until the firearms ceased and the “terrorists” were neutralized.
“There were firearms beyond any imagination. I can't believe I'm here. Undeaded firearms,” the woman said.
