A hospital manager asks for measures after the conference with anti-vaccine theories. He gave examples of doctors excluded from the profession and also talks about “investigating as a crime”

The manager of the County Emergency Hospital (SJU) Timișoara, prof. Dr. Dorel Săndesc, launched a “appeal to action” after the conference entitled “Covid-19 and Bio-Digital Convergence” on Saturday, where doctors from public and private hospitals participated in a debate that included topics like “post-vaccination cancers” and “children who die because of the Covid vaccine”.
In a Facebook post, Dorel Săndesc said that “the institution that has the legal attribution to supervise the observance of the deontological and professional norms by the doctors” is the College of Physicians (CMR).
“Disciplinary sanctions can go from warning to temporary or definitive raise the right of free practice. Therefore, if a doctor promotes conspiracy theories, refuses the scientific record and undermines confidence in validated measures (eg vaccination), CMR has the competence to analyze the case by the disciplinary commissions, and Practice, ”explained Dorel Săndesc.
He said that “the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) or even the Prosecutor's Office, in case of crimes, can intervene if the false messages are propagated in the public space and affect the population.”
Cases of doctors excluded from the profession
A few hours after the first posting, the manager of SJU Timișoara returned with a new message on Facebook, offering examples of “cases of internationally sanctioned medical professionals for promoting anti -vaccination or conspiracy theories”.
“All over the world, in the world, similar to those in Romania have been and are sanctioned exemplary; in Romania, where we have a record of cases, no similar measure has been taken,” says Dorel Săndesc.
The nine cases mentioned by Dorel Sandesc:
1. Guylaine Lanctôt (Canada): Phlebologist and anti -vaccination activist, known for the book La Mafia Médicale, was definitively excluded from the profession (money for life), after refusing to resign following the request of the College of Doctors in Québec; The disciplinary decision was taken in 1997, finding that he “acts according to his fantasies and ignores the rules of ethics.”
2. Kate Shemirani (United Kingdom): former nurse, promoter of conspiracy theories related to Covid-19 and 5G. It was suspended by Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in July 2020 and completely excluded in May 2021, with the possibility of appeal over five years.

4. Pierre Kory (US): FLCCC member, promoter of ivermectin as a Covid-19 treatment. American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) revoked the certification in August 2024 for the spread of medical misinformation  .
5. Peter A. McCullough (USA): Controversial cardiologist for the promise of misinformation related to Covid-19 and vaccines. Absim revoked certifications in January 2025.
6. Sherri Tenpenny (US): Osopathic Ohio, said Covid-19 vaccines “magnetizes” people. The license was suspended in August 2023 for non -cooperation with the investigation; It was restored in May 2024 after the payment of a fine and cooperation.
7. Thomas Cowan (USA): alternative medicine practitioner, Covid-19 / 5G theory promoter. He voluntarily gave up the license in December 2020, after a period of evidence received following disciplinary deviations in 2017.
8. Michael Ellis (Australia): GP from Melbourne. He posted homophobic messages and anti -vaccination on Facebook. VCAT suspended the 12 -month license to protect public health.
9. Mark Hobart (Australia): GP from Melbourne who refused Covid-19 vaccinations, issued unjustified medical exemptions. The clinic was closed, the suspended license and suffered serious health problems (heart attack, stroke). The story reflects the personal and professional consequences of the conflict with the Pandemic authorities.
