According to the American official, in return for the opportunity to buy American weapons, Ukraine will grant the United States intellectual property rights to the advanced systems that Ukrainians are developing.

On August 4, NATO launched a new mechanism for supporting Ukraine Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL). As part of this program, Ukraine is supplied with American weapons, which is paid by European allies and Canada. NATO explained that the cost of each package will be approximately $ 500 million. The packages will include equipment and ammunition, determined by Ukraine as priority. The packages will be prepared promptly and provide regularly, assured in the alliance.
On August 18, at a meeting with US President Donald Trump, the head of the Ukrainian state, Vladimir Zelensky, offered to purchase American weapons for $ 100 billion with financial support of Europe, wrote FT. The proposal did not indicate which weapon the Ukrainian side wants to purchase, but in Kyiv they have repeatedly clearly declared the need to receive at least 10 American Patriot systems, as well as missiles for them and other equipment.
Zelensky on August 19 at a briefing in Washington said that a package with Ukrainian offers for $ 90 billion is part of the guarantees of Ukraine’s security.
