Turkey reported that a Turkish ship was damaged during a Russian strike on Izmail

“The Turkish-flagged liquefied gas vessel Orinda, which was carrying 16 Turkish crew members, was damaged […] in the port of Izmail (Ukraine) and caught fire,” the report says.

The agency notes that the crew was evacuated and there were no injuries.

The post showed a burning ship and indicated that it arrived in Izmail from the Sea of Marmara near Istanbul.

At the same time, the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs of Turkey avoided saying that the attack was carried out by the Russians.

In the morning, the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, said that several civilian ships were damaged during a Russian drone attack on the port and energy infrastructure of the region.

The Romanian news agency AGERPRES showed a ship burning as a result of a Russian strike – this is the Orinda.
