Erdogan in the coming days can visit Kyiv – Media


According to diplomatic circles, Erdogan in Kyiv was invited by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

It is expected that the topics of the meeting of leaders in the Ukrainian capital will be an agreement on free trade, as well as peace in Ukraine.

Erdogan’s visit to Ukraine was also announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Ankara Nariman Dzhelalov in an interview with RBC-Ukraine. However, according to him, he needs significant efforts, “since there are many questions that interfere with its implementation.”

Context

The free trade agreement was signed on February 3, 2022, and Erdogan approved the agreement and the appendix to it on August 1.

In August 2024, Türkiye ratified the free trade agreement with Ukraine. It is expected that the free trade zone will increase the volume of bilateral trade in Turkey and Ukraine to $ 10 billion in a short period, noted Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat.
