“Bloody Moon.” When and where in September you can see a full lunar eclipse

This long and impressive solar eclipse will be able to see billions of people, but in different parts of the world it will look different.

The full lunar eclipse will be best seen in Asia and Western Australia, where observers will be able to see the entire event from beginning to end. The full phase, when the moon is completely immersed in the shadow of the Earth, will last 82 minutes, from 17..30 to 18.52 according to Greenwich (1.30–2.52 local time in the Australian Perty, 2.30–3.52 in Tokyo).

In East Australia, New Zealand, Africa and some parts of the Middle East, people will see most of the phases of the eclipse. The only large region, in which the eclipses will not be visible at all, will become America.

In most of Europe, the full lunar eclipse can be observed already at sunrise. Since during the eclipse the moon seems dull than usual, it will require clear, in no way obscured visibility low above the horizon.

Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe for observing the naked eye. The moon will gradually change the color from silver to dark red when the shadow of the earth falls on it. It can glow with rust-orange or even brown-red color.

The “1+1” channel announced what time it would be possible to observe the bloody moon in Ukraine. According to astronomers, at 20.30 the beginning of the full phase of the eclipse is expected, at 21.11 – the maximum stage, the moon will shine with the most saturated red light, 21.52 – the completion of the full phase, 23.55 – the end of the semi -leaving stage.
