The Ministry of the Interior and Administration presented a new draft amendment to the Act on verification of the right to family benefits for foreigners and on the conditions of assistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with armed conflict in this country.

It assumes linking the right to a benefit of 800+ for foreigners with the applicant's activity on the labor market and with the study of children at a Polish school. In the justification, the ministry explained that the introduced provisions make the right to benefits to professional activity only the applicant and do not refer to the professional situation of the second parent or child guardian.

This is another approach to the Ministry of Interior and Administration to the amendment to the Act on the help of Ukrainian citizens. Last week, its previous version was vetoed by President Karol Nawrocki. She clarified, among others The premises to receive the 800 plus benefit so that it is also paid to children who have graduated from the secondary school before the age of 18 and fulfill the obligation to study by attending the university or for qualifying vocational courses. The president, vexing the law, stated, among others, that only Ukrainians working in Poland should receive 800 plus.

Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, the minister of family, work and social policy, at the same time, the left of the left, announced that he did not support the laws receiving 800 plus Ukrainian children.

PAP asked on Wednesday PAP the head of the Labor Ministry during the Economic Forum in Karpacz whether a new project of the Ministry of Interior and Administration regulating this issue.

– It is still a project in the government legislative process. With final assessments, I will abstain until we know its final shape – she said.

She assured that she was in constant contact with the Minister of the Interior and Administration Marcin Kierwiński. Issues related to family and social policy contained in the project, also “from the point of view of the child's interests” raise conversations.

“Talks on this subject run well and in a constructive atmosphere,” she said.

Dziemianowicz-Bąk also referred to the position of President Nawrocki, according to which the right to 800 plus should only be entitled to Ukrainians working and paying contributions in Poland.

– Neither as a family minister, nor me, as a representative of the left, I will never agree to the idea of Karol Nawrocki, that a mother who loses her job, deprive access to 800 plus benefits, to punish a child for having lost her mother to lose her job to punish the mother of a child with disabilities. Such suggestions are simply cruel – she said.

According to her, “800 plus is the civilization achievement of Polish social policy.”

“I maintain a clear position not only mine, but my whole group, that as a left we will not put my hand to disassemble this system,” she declared. – This money should go to those children who actually stay in the territory of the Republic of Poland and fulfill their school obligation, and that they go to those parents who are here and who bring up these children here. We are the most open to work on such records and we cooperate with the Ministry of the Interior and Administration – she added.

She emphasized that the rulers have a moral and state duty to take care of children staying in Poland.

– That they could develop here in Poland, grow up, stay and enter the labor market – she explained.
