Rafał Brzoska sharply talks about taxes in the courier industry. It hits DHL

The president of InPost, Rafał Brzoska, once again publicly raised the issue of taxes paid by courier companies operating in Poland, criticizing foreign competitors – led by DHL – for, in his opinion, symbolic tax burdens. As described by gazeta.pl, the businessman pointed out the differences between how much goes to the state budget from InPost and how much from the largest international players.

InPost pays CIT in Poland
A few days ago, Brzoska published an entry on the X website in which he revealed that InPost paid PLN 498 million of corporate income tax in Poland for 2025. A year earlier it was PLN 380 million, and two years earlier it was PLN 250 million. The president emphasized that by choosing InPost, customers indirectly support the financing of infrastructure and public services, such as roads, schools and health care.
DHL talks about capital expenditure
In the same entry, Brzoska referred to the activities of the competition. He pointed out that DHL – despite revenues reaching approximately PLN 2.7 billion in Poland – did not pay corporate income tax. Official documents show that with revenues of PLN 2.82 billion, the tax due amounted to PLN 11.3 thousand. PLN, which in relation to turnover is a fraction of a per mille – reports Gazeta.pl.
DHL eCommerce Polska responded to the allegations. In a statement sent to Gazeta.pl, the company argued that it has been operating in Poland for 35 years, honestly pays all required taxes and invests intensively. As Ewa Grzech, PR Director DHL eCommerce Polska, explained, in the years 2022–2024, the company allocated 17% to investments. revenues, and in 2025 alone capital expenditure amounted to PLN 329 million.
DHL also draws attention to its role in the country's economic development. The company employs approximately 10,000 people in Poland. people and – as he emphasizes – is involved in social activities, providing, among others, 700 thousand PLN to fight hate among children and young people. The company's representative also cited data from the TOR Economic Advisory Team, according to which in 2025 the entire courier industry contributed PLN 27.2 billion to GDP, with a significant share of DHL eCommerce.
Brzoska: “Sometimes silence is golden”
However, the statement did not end the dispute. Brzoska referred to it in a recording published on social media, ironically commenting on his competitor's arguments. He pointed out that DHL's investments were primarily used to develop its own infrastructure, while the financing of public space – according to him – comes from corporate income tax.
The president of InPost noted that his company invested PLN 734 million in Poland alone, and at the same time contributed almost half a billion PLN to the state budget in income tax. – This tax is used to build roads, kindergartens, hospitals and infrastructure that is used by everyone – including competitors – said Brzoska, ending another appeal to rivals with the words: “Start paying taxes. Sometimes silence is golden.”
