The former prime minister, the leader of the opposition movement of Ano, Andrej Babisz was attacked on Monday at the election rally. An unidentified man hit his head with a metal object, most likely with an orthopedic ball. Babisz was briefly hospitalized. The police stopped the attacker.


Babisz was at a rally in Dobra near Frydek-Mistka in Silesia. After hitting the head of the wound, blood flowed – the witnesses described the incident. The leader of the strongest opposition party was hospitalized for an x -ray and head tomography.
According to recent media information, he has already left the hospital, but his further participation in the election campaign is in question.
Politicians Ano leave no doubt that the attack is the result of the hatred campaign that representatives of the ruling coalition lead against the opposition party leader.
Prime Minister Petr Fiala on the news about Babisz's hit at the election rally appealed to people with respect and run debates and avoid aggression and violence.
