USA and Iran close to agreement. Oil price down, stocks up

The US and Iran are nearing an agreement on a one-page memorandum aimed at ending the war, media reports. At the same time, Donald Trump issued a new warning to Iran, saying the “bombing will start again” if an agreement is not reached. Tehran said it was still analyzing the latest US proposal.

Oil prices fall, stock markets rise
June oil futures Brent fell by about 7 percent on Wednesday. up to $102 per barrel, continuing to decline for the second session in a row. Oil contracts are also getting cheaper WTI — by 5 percent up to $96 per barrel.
Wednesday's session on Wall Street ended with strong increases in the main indices, and the S&P 500 ended the day above 7,300 points for the first time in history.
The Dow Jones Industrial was up 1.24% at the close. The Nasdaq Composite increased by 2.03%.
The S&P 500 ended by 1.46% on Wednesday. and carried it away 7,365.12 points
Tehran said it was examining a U.S.-backed proposal to end the two-month conflict, with a response expected through Pakistani mediators once an agreement is reached.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz is possible thanks to “new procedures,” Iranian media reports. This follows Trump's announcement on Monday that the United States would halt “Operation Freedom” — its effort to guide ships through the strait while maintaining a blockade of Iranian ports.
This is not the first time that markets have reacted to reports of a potential peace agreement.
Since the beginning of the war, whenever U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has said or done something significant, markets have responded by taking the news in good faith. However, investors were often disappointed.
What is certain is that markets have still not found a way to respond appropriately to the style of Trump's presidency. Too often, they are surprised by posts on Truth Social that disprove everything they had hoped for just a few minutes earlier.
