The famous British chef Gordon Ramsay announced on Saturday, in Social Media, that he had undergone an intervention to remove a basal cell carcinoma, reports News.ro.
“I am grateful and I greatly appreciate the incredible team from The Skin Associates and their quick reaction in removing this basal cell carcinoma. Thank you! Please do not forget to give yourself a sunscreen this weekend. I promise it is not a facial lift! I would need a repayment …”
Gordon Ramsay, 58, posted two photos, and in one of them appears with a dressing under the ear, in the place where the cancer was removed.
What is it Basocellular carcinoma
Basocellular carcinoma is a form of non-melanoma cancer, which occurs in the upper layer of the skin and is mainly caused by the ultraviolet rays from the sun or used in tanning devices.
It is said that the main symptom of this condition is an excrescence or an unusual stain on the skin, which can vary in size and appearance, being the most common in areas such as head, neck and shoulders, back, hands and lower legs.
