The Profi, Lidl, Penny and Carrefour hypermarket chains announced on Friday the withdrawal from the sale of some batches of infant milk powder from Nestle, due to the identification of the presence of Bacillus cereus on one of the production lines in the factory of origin. A day ago, other store chains made a similar decision.
“Nestlé Romania initiates the voluntary recall for a limited quantity of the product NAN 1 Optipro 400g with the identification data above, as a precautionary measure due to the identification of the presence of Bacillus cereus on one of the production lines in the factory of origin, the line on which the affected batches were produced. The safety and well-being of infants is our absolute priority. We note that no notifications have been received regarding the adverse effects associated with the consumption of the products from the batches mentioned, their voluntary recall representing a precautionary measure”, said Profi, in an announcement published on Friday on the ANSVSA website, according to News.ro.
Lidl and Penny stated that they are withdrawing from the market the products with the following identification data:
- Product name on the label: NAN 1 Comfortis 800g;

For its part, Carrefour announces that it is withdrawing both the 400-gram product and the 800-gram product from sale.
