The fire that broke out on Tuesday night at a storage space in the “Red Dragon” complex in Bucharest, causing a massive air pollution, was extinguished, on Friday night, informs News.ro.

The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Bucharest-Ilfov, the fire from the “Red Dragon” complex was extinguished.

The fire broke out on Tuesday night at a storage space in the “Red Dragon” complex in Bucharest, with large smoke releases. The fire initially included about 2,000 square meters, with a risk of propagation to other storage spaces. The structure of the building collapsed partially and was issued a RO-allert message for the warning of the population, due to smoke.

There were no victims, but the fire caused a major air pollution in the capital.

The fire was located on Tuesday night through Wednesday, when the affected area was 3,800 square meters. 28 extinguishing vehicles operated.

The intervention forces were supplemented with effectives from the free laps, to support the effort of the firefighters engaged in the fire extinguishing mission, to protect the neighborhoods and to permanent water supply outside the affected objective.

The General Commissioner of the National Environmental Guard, Andrei Corlan, announced, on Wednesday, that a massive air pollution was produced, the most affected being the Berceni neighborhood, in the south of the capital, where a for four times the maximum admitted value was registered.
