French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk sent, after the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, won by the President Maia Sandu party, a common message in which he congratulates the voters and reaffiring his commitment to “supporting the democratic development, and of the democratic development. Moldova, especially on its way to the European Union ”.

“We, the leaders of the Weimar triangle, have carefully pursued the parliamentary elections that took place in the Republic of Moldova on September 28. We congratulate the Moldovan people for their commitment to democracy at an essential crossroads,” Macron, Merz and Tusk, in their common message, say.

“According to the preliminary results of the elections, Moldovan citizens have firmly expressed the will to join the European Union,” they add.

“We appreciate the Moldovan society and the competent authorities for the peaceful conduct of the election, despite the unprecedented interference of Russia, including by voting and misinformation schemes,” says Macron, Merz and Tusk, according to which “Moldovan voters have once again demonstrated that they will not allow them to be in peace”.

“We reaffirm our commitment to continue supporting democratic development, reforms and economic growth of Moldova, as well as strengthening its resilience, especially on its way to the European Union. The EU and Moldova have a common future,” concludes the three European leaders.

The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), the pro -European formation of President Maia Sandu, won the parliamentary elections on Sunday in the Republic of Moldova, obtaining more than half of the votes expressed.

According to the results announced Monday by the Central Election Commission (CEC), PAS obtained 50.20% of the total valid votes expressed.

The patriotic electoral block of the Socialists, the Communists, the heart and the future of Moldova (“Patriotic Block”), whose leader is the former socialist president Igor Dodon, ranked second, at a great distance from step, with 24.17%.

In the third position was the “alternative” electoral block of the mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban, who obtained 7.96% of the votes.

Renato Usatâi, the former mayor of Balti, entered the Parliament with the formation of “Our Party” – 6.2%. The last party that exceeded the electoral threshold is the Political Party “Home Democracy” (PPDA), led by Vasile Costiuc (5.62%).
