A local councilor from Aiud who announced that he was giving up his allowance, “from solidarity”, failed to say that he has money.

Lucian Alba, a local councilor in the city of Aiud, Alba County, who in July announced that, “from solidarity”, gives up the local choice allowance, failed to say that he had a donated money. The information was made public on Friday, by the local journalists from the newspaper Unirea, to whom the chosen one explained that the court's decision to put a break on his allowance was established erroneously and will soon be officially raised.
On July 22, Lucian Alba, a local councilor from PNL in the Local Council of Aiud, announced that, in the context of the measures announced by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and aimed at reducing the budgetary expenses, he renounces his allowance of local, writes News.ro.
“Bolojan's measures are not popular, but they are needed. They mean better used money, respect for the taxpayer and a more friendly environment for entrepreneurs and investors. In this context, I made a simple decision, but with significance: I give up the monthly counselor's allowance. I do not want to be part of a system that offers without responsibility. That I want to give a clear signal: I am not here for benefits, but I believe in solidarity.
The journalists from ziarulunirea.ro discovered that the allowance to which the counselor claimed to be resigning is, in reality, embedded, and this happened several months before the announcement of the local chosen.
The reaction of the local councilor
According to local journalists, on February 25, the Aiud Court approved the forced execution against Lucian Alba for a debt of about 100,000 lei of one of the companies he has and for which he personally guaranteed a trusted contract.
“According to this conclusion to approve the forced execution, the counselor has income, as a result of an outstanding loan contracted by his company, Alba Line Spedition SRL, for which he also guaranteed. Alpha Bank Romania, until the payment of a total amount of almost 100,000 lei, representing outstanding credit, interest and execution expenses ”, reveals the newspaper Unirea.
Lucian Alba explained to journalists that it would be an error. “The impact applied to my physical person has been established erroneously and is to be corrected by the legal procedures already in progress. In the shortest time the measure will be officially raised. At the moment, only two thirds will remain in the local budget,” he said.
