In 2010, sex offender Jeffrey Epstein offered to introduce the then-Duke of York Andrew to a Russian woman in her twenties, according to documents published on Friday by the US Ministry of Justice, cited by AFP.

In an e-mail dated August 12, 2010, Epstein wrote to Andrzej that he had “a friend with whom (Andrzej – PAP) might like to go to dinner” and who would be in London.

In response, the former prince wrote that he would be “delighted to meet her.” He asked for additional information about the woman and to provide her with his contact details. Epstein then informed him that the woman was 26 years old and from Russia; he described her as beautiful and trustworthy. He added that he gave her Andrzej's e-mail address.

The documents do not indicate whether the former prince met the Russian woman. However, they reveal that he later invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace.

Epstein also contacted Andrzej while he was in London on October 27, 2010. He asked him what time he would like to see him and added: “We will have to talk in private.”

Andrew replied: “We can have dinner at Buckingham Palace and spend a lot of time alone.” Two days later, he added: “I'm very happy to meet you at PB (Buckingham Palace – PAP). Come with whomever you want, I'll be there from about 4 to 8 p.m.”

A few months before this exchange, Epstein had finished serving a 2008 sentence for soliciting a 14-year-old girl into prostitution.

Due to his connections with Epstein, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was deprived of the title of prince last year and had to leave Buckingham Palace. (PAP)
