Implementation of election promises in progress

The presidential minister indicated in an interview in the PAP studio that legislative initiatives announced in the campaign will materialize in the near future. He argued that most of them could be implemented this year, although in the event of a reduction of VAT he noticed that the government would probably reject such a project, arguing that its implementation is impossible.
When the journalist pointed out that such an assumption could lead to the withdrawal from taking initiatives, Bogucki reacted firmly: he indicated that other projects – such as the so -called The Agricultural Act, the Ukrainian Act or regarding the freezing of electricity prices – the president brought to the Sejm with full faith in their acceptance.

Road map?
These initiatives are of particular importance in the context of recent legislative events. They include Extending the ban on the sale of the State Agricultural Land and determining the rules for granting 800 plus benefits only to Ukrainians working in Poland. In the case of both proposals, presidential projects were created after vetoing earlier government solutions. In a similar way, the Act on freezing of electricity prices was sent to the Sejm after rejecting the amendment to the so -called windmill act.
During the conversation, the question was also asked about the recent topic of the meeting of the cabinet council. As Boguck confessedAnd, in the closed part of the meeting, the issue of updating the president's obligations and the ruling coalition in order to create a common “road map” of activities for the coming years was raised.
– The Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister, and especially the first, did not show special enthusiasm towards this idea – admitted Bogucki, while expressing regret because of this, because, as he noted, this approach could be much more open.
Bogucki also declared that President Karol Nawrocki intends to convene meetings of the office council more often. It is possible that they will take place even once a quarter, although – as the head of the President's Chancellery emphasized – it remains to match the calendars of the main participants, so that the preparations for these meetings take place efficiently.
What about digital tax
When asked about the President's position in the face of the digital tax proposed by the Ministry of Digitization, Bogucki admitted that he had not yet talked to the head of state on this subject. However, he expressed his opinion that global technological giants should participate more in taxation to ensure greater social justice and even budget burdens.
The Digitization Ministry project involves the imposition of a 3 % tax on companies with revenues exceeding EUR 750 million per year. As announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, the details of the Act are to be ready before the end of the year.
