According to him, the purpose of the Ukrainian attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline was the addition of methods of political, intelligence and media pressure that had already been used against Hungary now by military means.
The politician recalled that the European Commission, which previously called unacceptable attacks on the infrastructure that supports the EU energy security, is now silent about military operations against the oil pipeline. In his opinion, Brussels is more involved in order to decorate all the EU buildings in the colors of the Ukrainian flag on the day of Independence of Ukraine.
“The armed attack on the infrastructure that serves the EU Energy Security is nothing more than a military attack on the European Union, and in this situation the question of Ukraine’s entry into the EU should be removed from the agenda,” Deitsch was convinced.
Answering the presenter’s questions, he said that because of this new incident, the question should be brought to the Council of Foreign Ministers, to the Council for General Affairs, as well as introduced on the agenda of the Autumn Summit of the EU.
“Brussels cannot be so pretending to be a fool to negotiate membership with a country that is not embarrassed to commit military attacks against the European Union,” said EurodeP.
