Romsilva has a new provisional general manager. Who is Jean Vișan

The Board of Directors of the National Forest Administration – Romsilva was designated on Tuesday, following a transparent selection process, on Jean Vișan for a five -month provisional general manager.

The procedure for selection of the general manager, with a provisional term for five months, was initiated by the Board of Directors on August 11. Until the deadline for submitting files, 25 persons were registered, of which 17 met the conditions of participation. The 17 eligible candidates were interviewed by the Board of Directors, during several days, subsequently a ranking being established.
Jean Vișan is 48 years old, he is a forest engineer, licensed in 2001 of the Faculty of Forestry and Forest Operations of the “Transilvania” University of Brasov and obtained the title of doctor in forestry in 2017.
“Throughout his career, he has held several functions within the Vintilă Vodă Forestry Department and the Buzau Forestry Directorate. Since 2006, he has held several execution and management positions within the National Forest Registry-Romsilva, such as the head of service within the Investment Service-Mechanization and Director, for the Development, of the Forest Directorate of LipU ”, according to Romsilva.
The new provisional director holds several certifications, including in the field of designing and executing land improvements, public procurement management and in preventing and combating corruption.
The National Director of Forests – Romsilva manages about 4.2 million hectares of forests the public property of the state or in other forms of property, on a contractual basis.
All forests the public property of the state hold the certification of forest management in international standard.
