According to the noisy announcements of the Opel authorities, the internal combustion cars were to disappear from the European portfolio of the brand in 2028. The German concern was therefore chronologically the second, after Audi, which would completely give up assembling in cars of flue gas.
Behind the electrification of the portfolio stood the introduction of electric drives to the offer of each model available in Europe. In 2023, Opel also changed its logo, which was supposed to refer to the transition to electrics.
Although electrical drives will continue to be developed and the “Multi Energy” strategy assuming the offering of each model in the electrical variant, it will still be implemented, Opel will not give up combustion cars so quickly.
Earlier, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and the aforementioned Audi and the aforementioned Audi, and the Volvo authorities also began to approach their plans to departing from the internal combustion cars on the European market.

Europeans turn away from Stellantis, not from electricians

However, fewer registrations are not related to the falling interest in electricians in Europe. Their share in the market of new cars is growing again.
