The president of the Spiru Haret Federation, Marius Nistor, said on Monday that there is no question of a general strike in education but only a boycott on September 8 of the beginning of the school year. In addition, he said, it will be a large rally in front of the Victoria Palace, followed by a protest march, up to Cotroceni Palace, reports News.ro.

“At the time of phase, it is clear that there is a more than serious option for the beginning of the school year, in the pre -university education, on September 8 to be boycotted. And it seems normal to be the result of a referendum triggered at national level,” Marius Nistor told Antena 3.

He said that a distinction must be made between what a general boycott and strike.

“There is no question of a general strike. We are talking only about a boycott on September 8 of the beginning of the school year. On September 9, there will be other actions that we think at national level, of another nature.

The representative of the unions announced the organization of a large rally in front of the Victoria Palace, followed by a protest march, to the Cotroceni Palace. Nistor mentioned that they had a first discussion with the Minister of Education and continued the discussions with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.

“His reign does not want to change anything, going on the idea that if he had given up the measures that were adopted, measures that hit the pre-university education, then he would be forced to take a step back and opposite the second package and the third package, which can lead to the reduction of the budget deficit.
