The Minister of Defense met with Trump's emissary for Ukraine, Keth Kellogg. “Romania remains a firm partner of the US”

On Sunday, August 24, in Kiev, on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, Defense Minister, Ionuț Mosteanu, met with Keith Kellogg, the special emissary of President Donald Trump for Ukraine.

“Today, along with Joseph Keith Kellogg Jr., President Donald Trump's special emissary for Ukraine. I thanked him for the efforts made by President Donald Trump's administration in mediating and accelerating the peace process.
Romania remains a firm US partner for the defense of common values and in supporting regional and global stability ”, the minister transmitted on Facebook.
Present at the event, Minister Mosteanu took part in a ceremony to commemorate the Ukrainian military fallen in battle, where he laid a wreath, as well as to other official activities organized by the Ukrainian authorities, the MApN press office reports.
“Today, in Kiev, on the day when Ukraine celebrates its independence, my thoughts are heading to all those who have lost their lives in this unfair war, triggered by Putin's Russia.” Ionuț Mosteanu wrote on Facebook.
Also on Sunday, Zelenski offered Kellogg a state distinction during the Sunday ceremony, saying “we need peace”, while handing a medal in a leather box, according to Reuters.
Later, during the day, Kellogg met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who said they discussed the agreement on minerals between Ukraine and the US, as well as the issue of security guarantees.
At the press conference with Cariy, Zelenski was asked to comment on a Wall Street Journal article, which stated that the Pentagon has blocked, for several months, discreetly, Ukraine's use of the US Attops to hit Russia.
In response, he said that, lately, Kiev uses long -range weapons produced internally to hit targets inside Russia, which are not subject to Washington's approval.
