Following the request for payment submitted by Ukraine on August 8, the Council approved the evaluation of the commission according to which Ukraine fulfilled 13 reform indicators related to this fourth regular quarterly payment. In total, the MFA amounts to 18.1 billion euros and represents the EU contribution to the initiative of extraordinary loans (Extraordin Revenue acceleration) led by G7, which collectively concerns about 45 billion euros to cover Ukraine's urgent needs. The loans were of the G7 partners, as well as the MFA loan of the EU, are repaid from the revenues from the fixed assets of the central bank of Russia, held by central depositors from the EU through the Cooperation Mechanism to Ukraine.
How much money has transferred the European Union to Ukraine since the beginning of military conflict
Since the beginning of the invasion of Russia in February 2022, the EU and its Member States have mobilized 168.9 billion euros in humanitarian, financial and military assistance for Ukraine and its citizens.

- 73.6 billion euros from the EU budget for humanitarian support, crises response, budget support and early reconstruction;
- 15 billion euros in bilateral assistance from the 27 EU Member States;
- 59.6 billion euros in military assistance, including a part funded by the European facility for peace;
- 3.7 billion euros coming from frozen and immobilized Russian assets.
